The
post office in the small town of Pisek is closing.
A regional manager with the Postal Service says opperations
in the town will be suspended and the post office
will eventually shut down because there aren't qualified
employees to run it.
A
judge has sentenced a 21 year old Fargo man to four
years in prison for a string of burglaries and vandalism
that caused nearly $80,000 in damage. Michael
Friesen was also ordered to ten years probation and
pay restitution.
An
official with the National Weather Service says it's
looking like the month of May will be above average
for rainfall in the region. But Mark Ewens says
it's likely that trend will quickly reverse itself
for much of the summer. Ewens says the forecast
calls for the summer to have average temperatures
with dry conditions.
