It's
National Nurses Week May 6th-12th...the theme is "Nurses:
Making a Difference Every Day." Let's help
our area nurses celebrate this special week by giving
them a big thank you for all their hard work and dedication
to the nursing profession.
Mother's
Day Luncheon at the Devils Lake Senior Center on Friday,
May 9th at 11am with entertainment. There will be
a noon meal, reservations are required.
Devils
Lake Community Blood Drive at the Devils Lake Armory
on Monday, May 12th from noon-6pm and on Tuesday, May
13th from 8am-2pm. For an appointment to donate call
662-6118.
Defensive
Driving Course at Lake Region State College in room
33 on Thursday, May 15th from 6-10pm. The course
offers point reductions, an insurance discount and safer
driving skills. The fee along with more information
can be obtained by calling the North Dakota Safety Council
at 223-6372 or 1-800-932-8890. Please do not call Lake
Region State College for information.
Registration
is being taken for the Girls 18 & Under Softball
League.
Players must form their own teams and find their own
coaches. They will play double header games on Tuesdays
at 4pm. The League is scheduled to begin play on Tuesday,
June 3rd. Teams must register at the Recreation Office
at 662-8243 by 5pm on Tuesday, May 27th.
